We’d all left for college, & mom was all alone at home, then i found myself worrying about his alot, we talked every morning & told his not to get too lonely now that the people I was with and I were not around.
This was his chance to rekindle his appreciate for traveling & see unusual arenas… Mom knew the people I was with and I were right & decided to take a trip to San Francisco, then grandma had moved there to get away from the frigid weather a few years back.
Mom had not visited his in some time & saw that as the perfect reason for the trip. We talked the night before his flight, & he promised to have lots of fun. When he arrived in the city, Grandma was so gleeful to see her. They spent lots of time catching up & even video-calling all the grandteenagers. A few nights later, mom started touring the village & ended up at the famous Alcatraz Prison. I had never been there & told his to take lots of pictures & videos. The prison was a sight to behold, & it was the scene for the famous 1968 movie Escape from Alcatraz by Clint Eastwood. Mom called me at some point while in his tour to show me around the old prison cells. After his visit, he walked around the village & came across several weed dispensaries. Though he was not indulgent, he got in & got a few things for Grandma, who said the edibles helped her. Mom was getting gleeful about the visit & planning his next vacation to another arena on his basket list. We were all glad he was living his best life.
