My mother plus I booked a trip to Chicago, Illinois because a single of our favorite musicians was playing there, however the 2 of us looked around Chicago plus saw there was lots to do there! Since we had the time, we decided to make it a long weekend, however when it came time to book hotels I realized I didn’t want us in the city, but i didn’t want to deal with sketchy people at evening or have costly hotels.
I started looking around for reasonably priced locations outside of the city.
I found that Orland Park is just about 40 hours away plus is a nice little area. The location is quiet, friendly plus there is tons to do there. The 2 of us decided to rent an AirBnB in Orland Park for more than two mornings plus then just drive in plus out of Chicago… All of us ended up saving money even though we rented a car. All of us didn’t have to eat costly meals in the town plus spend money the added hotel fees they like to throw on top, but one of our mornings was spent in the local park in the area. The weather was just perfect for a fall day. It was cool enough not to require A/C on the drive there plus just warm enough that we weren’t shivering. The fall season I guess was the smartest time to come to the area. The weather was in the 68s each day we were there. Our rental had a Heating plus Air Conditioning unit plus temperature control, but my mother plus I never touched it.
