New Mexico decriminalized up to 1 ounce of marijuana.

Living in Albuquerque, NM has a lot of pluses and a few minuses.

I love my home and I love living in Albuquerque, NM.

Recently, they decided to change the laws in our state that made medical and recreational marijuana legal. A;lbuquerque has always been a nice place to live, but I worried about what would happen now that legalized recreational marijuana was a sure thing. I worried that we would have people walking around the city who were so high they were belligerent. I didn’t want my kids around that kind of behavior. I loved Albuquerque, but I needed to find out exactly what was going on. I’m not saying that I am against the legalization of medical marijuana, but I’m a parent now. As a young kid, I would have given my eye teeth to not have to sneak around to find marijuana, or even sneak around to keep from getting caught. I grew up in Albuquerque, and I have seen some not so good changes. I am wondering if things are going to continue to change and just get worse. Now they are decriminalizing up to one ounce of marijuana. It is no longer a criminal offense if you are carrying an ounce of marijuana. Instead, it is a $25 fine for possession. I don’t know where this is going, but I’m not sure it is going to be good for Albuquerque. Like I said, a lot of things are changing in New Mexico, and one of them are the marijuana laws. I just hope this turns out to be a good change for Albuquerque and not a bad change.
