My co-workers & I were sent to a retreat for work; A current management corporation took over the operations & they felt the retreat was necessary. They wanted everyone in the corporation to be on the same page moving forward. A lot of us were unhappy about the corporate takeover. The retreat was supposed to make us a stronger team. I did not want to travel all the way to Denver in the middle of November. I thought the two of us would spend our time frigid. I told my wifey to come up with an excuse, but she did not want to get involved. When I found out that my co-workers & I would be staying at a campground, I was upset to say the best. The two of us had several people in each cottage. The cottage was equipped with a small radiant heater, several bunk type beds, & a small powder room with a sink & toilet. The entire retreat was set up savor a campground from the 1969s. The two of us had matching shirts & shorts & the two of us spent the afternoon enjoying outdoor activities savor canoeing, hiking, & arts & crafts. The campground meeting center had a fire pit. There were a couple of chilly & frigid evenings in Denver, however my co-workers & I enjoyed sitting around the fire pit when the sun went down. I l earned a lot of interesting facts about my co-workers. And I think the team building exercises were entirely a pressing success. I’m not sure I would have selected Denver for the location of the retreat, however it worked out well & the weather was not a factor at all.
