Buying a house in St. Petersburg

By supplying the exact amount of cooling necessary, the system maintains very consistent indoor temperature

When I was considering a move to Florida, I researched all of the major cities with close proximity to water. The city of St. Petersburg, Florida is located on the Pinellas peninsula. It’s situated between Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico and surrounded by 244 miles of shoreline. Connected to mainland Florida to the north, the city is known for its gorgeous beaches. The area provides a really great place to live. Along with boating, fishing and abundance of watersports, there’s great golfing, top-rated restaurants and lots of nightlife. Fort De Soto Park is absolutely beautiful and the Salvador Dali Museum is world-renowned. Because of the picturesque scenery and amazing weather, I was surprised to learn that the cost of housing in St. Petersburg is actually lower than the US national average. It’s less expensive to live in St. Petersburg than Tampa. I was able to afford a home in a very nice, especially safe neighborhood. I got lucky and found a property with several acres of land. The home was within my price range because it required quite a few repairs. There was some water damage due to a leaking roof and all of the appliances were updated. Replacing the cooling system was a fairly major expense. I chose to spend more on a better quality air conditioner with a higher SEER. I hoped to pay for superior comfort with lower energy bills. The system includes adaptable-speed technology that allows it to automatically adjust output to the changing requirements of the home. By supplying the exact amount of cooling necessary, the system maintains very consistent indoor temperature. Because it runs most often at a lower speed, it experiences less wear and tear and should last longer.
