Snow in January means a furnace is necessary

Buffalo, New York has an average of 12 days of snow in the month of january.

Snow is going to be a part of the forecast nearly every day of the month and cold temperatures and Ice are going to be on the ground every day of the week.

Because the temperatures are so cold, it is absolutely important to have a good working furnace. Buffalo, New York has a lot of gas, oil, and wood furnace customers. There are several Buffalo heating providers that service all of the furnaces and fireplaces. There are even some Buffalo HVAC businesses that clean chimneys and fireplaces too. I have the furnace filled with fuel in September and I usually have enough to last until January or february. At that point, I have more fuel added so the gas furnace will last until April. It’s still pretty cold in April, but I don’t mind turning off the furnace and using the space heaters. After a couple of months of cold weather, I’m ready to open up the windows and air out the house. Last year I had a week off of work when it snowed and no one could get past the roads. My friends and I sat in the garage and drank beers everyday. It was football season, so we got to watch the games and hang out and we got paid the whole time. According to our labor contract, we are entitled to full pay if we have to stay home because of equipment failure or malfunction. It’s nice to belong to the workers union.
