My family is a sizable time hockey family.
We always are going to the games and seeing the Stanley cup playoffs.
We unluckyly don’t all live together though, so most of the time it is us texting each other while all of us watch the games at home. When the playoff season happens, that is when all of us party. Whoever’s team makes it to the playoffs is big, but i have a sibling in Tampa FL that is so smug. We always are flying into FL and seeing the games with him. It is strange seeing a hockey game when it is hot out, however my sibling wears shorts with his jersey. It just does not assume like hockey season to me. I live in Elgin, IL. I am just outside of Chicago so that means the Chicago Blackhawks are our team. When it is hockey season I am dealing with snow and cold. I have to be careful of ice and getting our vehicle blocked. When I go into the game all the people is dressed in full Wintertide gear. When I watch the game at home I have our heating plan cranked; Hockey season lasts a long time. So technically it should hot up in our area. It does not easily though. I basically run our furnace all hockey season. That gets myself and others into the spirit though. I am hopeful that our team will make it far in the playoffs. The past few years have been a sizable letdown… Nobody in our family has traveled to our section in quite some time. Maybe this is their year though.
